About Me

I am a Colorado native—born and raised—and I genuinely believe that that is where I will ultimately end up. I am in love with my state: the beautiful view of the mountains from the city, the actual mountains once you get in, the endless sunny days, the bipolar weather, the people, the nature, the being different from anywhere else. I love it and when I’m away I find that I do miss it.

I am currently living in Boston, Mass, in college. I’m a sophomore enjoying my second year at university.

How would I describe myself? I’m ambitious, determined, a bit shy at times, organized, crazy, compassionate, passionate, lazy and hard-working (at the same time, yes), loving, loyal, and so much more!

Things I love? Mountains (obviously), Colorado (again, obviously), travel, shopping (okay I don’t actually like the process of shopping… I do like the end result thought!), fashion, magazines (Lucky, In Style, Marie Claire, Allure, Glamour, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Women’s Health, Vogue, etc.) especially on the airplane, movies (interestingly enough, I always forget my favorites, but I do love The Blind Side, Friends with Benefits [living vicariously, I suppose],  Miracle, Donny Darko, The Harry Potter series, The Lord of the Rings, Bridget Jones’ Diary 1 and 2, The Holiday, and so many more), Gilmore Girls (yes, I do own all 7 seasons, and yes, I have been through the series like 8 times), That 70’s Show (yep, own all the seasons of that too. Although I’ve only been through once), Reba, interior decorating, gardening (haha this one is a stretch. Have I ever technically gardened? No, but I AM only 19 and I’d like to when I have a place of my own), reading and books in general (again, favorites are hard, but I love Atlas Shrugged, Harry Potter, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series, Hunger Games, Eva Luna, all Spanish literature, and so many more!), nature, the ocean, luxury, flowers (especially roses, as you can probably tell from my blog, and peonies), jewelry especially earrings, makeup (sephora! But mostly this is lip stuff and mascara. I’d say I like more natural and understated and I suck with the colors…), my dogs (a black lab, Maverick, and a chocolate, Molly), my family (mostly when they come out to visit me—it’s so different than me king back home), colors, sunshine, houses (I could seriously drive around for hours looking at beautiful houses, wishing I could go in), fruit (apples, berries, bananas, clementines, acai, kiwis, pineapple, grapes, etc.), baking, cooking (can’t do it, but would love to learn!), languages (I know Spanish but would love to learn Chinese, Italian, French [a personal calling], Russian, Arabic, Japanese, German, and okay every language really), pictures, scarves, decorative lights, music (Van Morrison especially), making goals and plans, my Mac (bought myself—very proud), psychology, spending quality time with friends, and more still, but I think that this is a pretty good picture haha

I am currently keeping up with: How I Met Your Mother, Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, New Girl, Parks & Recreation, The Vampire Diaries, and I think that’s it? Also watching One Tree Hill and The O.C. Yes, in case you are wondering, it is wayyyy too much!

I am a romantic at heart and waiting for the right everything. I love genuine people and especially genuinely weird people. 

I celebrate a new year of living every March 9th since 1993.
